Like I said before, just put a few lines in the intro explaining that the guns are DNA locked in order to prevent the Class-D's from taking them and using them against the Foundation. With one or two lines of dialogue, you state the game's official stance on the issue in the game itself AND seamlessly work in a plausible explanation for why the protagonist never even thinks to pick up a gun. Solves the whole problem right there.

If we get an armory room, the walls should be stacked with all sorts of guns and there should be a note saying:

"Attention all personnel, all of the firearms have been converted to an ID locked state. A reader in the gun's handle will read the RFID chip implanted in authorized persons hands. Non-authorized persons cannot use firearms.

This. This right here. Perfect. Honestly, your suggestion combined with my suggestion (or even either one separately) pretty much solves the entire gun debate.

Well don't forget that the DNA encoded guns was an idea I advocated way earlier on in this gun debate, and I kind of don't want to continually repeat myself but I will say that I do continue to support the DNA encoded idea.

The armory idea is a good idea as well, I would also suggest that one of the Guards mentions the DNA encoding to the player in passing prior the the breach.

Yes, I know, and I mentioned that it had been brought up before. But I don't think anyone's thought of a non-forced way to make that apparent in the game yet, hence my idea.

People who are saying that guns in the game would "Ruin the Atmosphere" are just......I don't want to be mean.
How would it? It's not like it would change anything. Yea sure, shoot at 173. See how much that helped the Guard in the beginning?
It wouldn't help against anything...Except the MTF...And they're so buggy that you just want some way to make them fuck off.
My name is John...Yes you can call me that...Yes it's a bland name, but it gets the job done.
