Hmmm. Yes. I see. I have the same problem.
Well, the problem is that the engine is older then the Titanic, and compatibility issues make the damn thing a mess. Plus, the engine has very weird performance. I mean, I get better FPS on my 7 year old machine then my super fast new laptop.
But don't worry yourself, for Answer42 is slowly but surely making progress on making the game an entirely new engine in C++. Read the other thread if you want to know more. That's basically it.
Re: Low fps in scpcb
#2First of all, get a computer, not a laptop.
Secondly, as MrGuilkeyFace said, it might be a compatibility issue. In which case, we need to know what OS you have.
If it's Windows 8, good luck trying to run anything well. If it's Win 7 or Vista, run as administrator and run in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3.

#3Try using in 1024x768 resolution.Agent Kain wrote:I have the same problem, I can get about 60 fps every so often, but most of the time I only get 6-12 fps. I'm using Windows 7 and running as an admin and in compatibility mode. I can run games on the computer no problem, it's just this that I get low fps.
Re: Low fps in scpcb
#4Changeing the resolution worked for me thank you, went from a whole 8fps to 30
