Containing 106

Right, after trying 7 different map-seeds and barely escaping with my sanity just now I'm starting to wonder.
Since 0.6.2. I somehow fail to be able to contain 106 properly.

Let me explain....
I know you have to lower the cage, turn on the sound and break the femur.
And as soon as 106 spawns inside the cage or the screen goes black I'd rise the cage back up.
That worked just fine since 106's containment was introduced to the game, however I had him reappear 90% of the time.
And just now I actually soaked my keyboard in Pepsi.

I was doing the usual containment procedure, waited for the screen to go black... lifted the cage...
I turned around and saw 106 floating in mid air behind the window, slowly walking towards me. WHAT!?
I know that if you're not fast enough he'll go for you, but seriously? I lifted the cage back up 1 second before the screen went blank!
Seriously, what am I missing? Oh and also, while I'm in 106's pocket dimension I'd occasionally fall through the floor and then somehow end up back at
the beginning in his little "garden".

But seriously, turning around and seeing 106 slowly walk/float towards you scared me more than 096 or 173 ever could :/

I'm not sure, it could be a bug, or maybe you have to contain him before the screen goes black. I don't go there because of that lure subject.

Oh yeah, you mentioned that you couldn't stand the guy's screams. If it's THAT bad just replace his soundfiles with the MLP Theme or something?

If you guys are gonna be jerks and just post mocking images on a serious question thread then fuck off.

I noticed this too, the last time i tried to contain 106 i waited until he was coming out of the floor, then when i heard the sound that confirms the lure subject was caught i turned on the magnets. Having heard 106's music after containing him for a while in past versions, i kept going and i was walking calmly upstairs then i noticed 106 was coming out of the wall.

There must be a specific time for containing him correctly. Otherwise it must be a bug.

If you are going to contain 106 in the newest version 6.3, watch the video feed of the class d, and as soon as you see 106's head stick up through the chamber floor next to the class d, turn on the magnets right away!, or he WILL start to walk towards you as you saw him do.
Don't wait for the screen to go black as it will be too late to contain him from there.

As soon as you can see his head in the chamber, turn the magnets on.

Repeated it a few times for safety measure

Ah I see, thank you for that. Even though I'm not too sure about the "repetition" part.
It IS possible to re-release 106 after containing him so I'd rather catch him first try instead of having a heart attack.

(Also thanks, Irontaco, I was beginning to think I was being a complete moron judging by those reactions)
