It is most definitely not. You don't have to create threads to find information you need, if it already exists, just search it up. And it's MUCH more accurate on the forums, the wiki tends to be fed by anons with random crap or inaccurate info.

As I said, it is for newcomers to familiarize with the game, and this thread purpose is for the actual forum to give ideas, since you guys already know much better than me and probably the founders themselves of the wiki.

And also most people would actually go first to the wiki on Google than the actual forums. I am talking about casual people.
