New gameplay mechanic idea

I have a great idea. This may not be very sophisticated, but I think it will out you on edge a bit easier.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS TO UNDERSTAND IT!!!

I thought of this when I was thinking of how the two class D's and guard get killed at the start; what if they had flashlights and shone them at SCP-173? Then I thought, hey, that's actually a good idea.

So, the thing is, why doesn't SCP-079 try to kill you like he did at the start? Maybe he should. I think there should be some cameras around, and when you are in these areas sometimes 079 would try to kill you by turning off the lights.

Cameras=SCP-079 knows you are there. SCP-079=Trying to kill you. Flashlights=Your salvation! But can go dead. Batteries=Put in the flashlight, to use it once it goes out.

So, 1: You still aren't safe, even when you have the flashlight, as you can't hold it out for ever as it would go dead.
2: It also makes batteries useful again, as I find you normally don't need them once you upgrade your other stuff.
3: More suspense!

I hope this idea is understandable by everyone, and I hope you think it's a good gameplay mechanic!

PS: Another way SCP-079 can double-cross/backstab you: Turns out lights/ blows the fuses on the light's power source once you turn on the remote door control!! Then you need a flashlight to get out of the facility, so you aren't just let off loosely (feeling you've completed the game already even when you aren't out of the facility yet) once you've 'completed' the set objectives.

I know my avatar isn't exactly 'creative'. It's mostly so bronies can identify it but non-bronies have no idea.

The creator (I think or someone else important) said there should and will not be any flashlights in game cause it would take away from the atmosphere
Also you never really said who would have the flashlights
Don't worry about your son, he will be sent to the deep dark depths in no time.

But, by having the limited amount of batteries means you can't just walk around with the flashlight on 24/7, so you can't be permanently 'scare-free'. Plus, people already turn the fog down to make it 'less scary', so it probably won't take away much.
