The TMP is a weak gun, and the rewards aren't the greatest, but you can help ruMpel's mom. Simon's story in CoF was inspired by his mom, who got a bad neck injury in an automobile accident, causing paralysis.
It's to help pay his bills and help run his life, and you can spare a few bucks, can't you?
