This thread will be to discuss what you think about the game Runescape opening up for the new HTML5 graphics version.

This links will show you various pictures of the new graphics engine that HTML5 allows Runescape to use:

This one showing a main difference between the java run login and graphics version of Runescape and the HTML5 version.
Look to the right of the screen, where you can see the core usage of the players pc (the player that took the pictures): A few of the changes that the switch to HTML5 allows and changes that will be introduced after the change:
1: Graphical updates - Includes increased draw distance, "real skies", weather effects, dynamic shadows, real time reflects, a new water shader, lighting effects & richer colour palette as mentioned in Runescape Behind The Scenes Video 48. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFlCUQQWx6s
2: High Fidelity Sound
3: A Clothes editing system, allowing players to dress themselves as they wish
4: Customizable Interfaces

I used to play Runescape a long time ago until it turned... Something weird. Now i dont play it. They made a option of old school worlds... For P2P! Im thinking Jagex only cares about money now... Im staying in private servers while i can

Wait, they make you pay to play a 5 year old version of a free to play game?

Don't forget, that no matter what they are still a games company, and managing an online game isn't cheap when rule breakers such as botters and real world traders are making the legit players leave in disgust.

Not to mention paying for the servers to be maintained correctly, having the bills to pay, and paying the employees so they can make a great online game that is pleasant to look at and play.

They are no different than any other game company, only at the point where they dont have other games that can be sold on a cd or downloaded from a major games library.

Looks neat, though i'm never going back to EOC scape, the updates through 2011 and 2012 killed the fun for me. I do have an account on the 2007 servers, though I've not really played it much due to it being a bit too far the other way. I would personally want a 2010 version.

Also, damn I've been away for a while, almost two weeks I think. Haven't even had time to get 0.7 yet. Anything else I miss?

HTML runescape? kmow what this means, now I need to upgrade my computer AGAIN! T_T

Ugh, well, im going to give Runescape another try since 5 years ago was the best game ever...
