On the topic, yes, this isn't necessarily new news, I remember this being announced quite a while back, it seems they're finally planning to take it into effect now however.

I'm pretty sure that this isn't going to be a change across every channel on youtube, Google isn't that stupid.

Eh. I'm not worried. It's not like it'll spread to every video/channel on youtube. I actually find the idea interesting.
