I found this crap while I was browsing the old forums

He was a famous trumpet man from out Chicago way.
He had a boogie style that no one else could play.
He was the top man at his craft,
but then his number came up and he was gone with the draft.
He's in the army now. He's blowin' reveille.
He's the boogie woogie bugle boy of company B.

They made him blow a bugle for his Uncle Sam.
It really brought him down because he could not jam.
The captain seemed to understand,
because the next day the cap' went out and drafted the band.
And now the company jumps when he plays reveille.

A root, a toot, a toodlie-a-da-toot.
He blows it eight to the bar in boogie rhythm.
He can't blow a note unless a bass and guitar
is playin' with him.

he was busy as a busy bee.

It was probably an Inside joke between two people. What Topic was it from? That might give some context clues.

I remember this....... good times.

As to your question, as someone who was there around that time... I'm afraid I'm not sure how to answer that.

It was just a couple moderators screwing around, nothing more.

Judging by the edit dates, those posts originally said something else, but they seemed to have been edited by Trex and Xander (who still posses mod ranks back on the old forum, allowing them to continue posting) with some random copy pasta.

It was from a topic regalis posted about the migration to the new forums they all seemed to be edited by xander so he possibly could have just been screwing around, is he on these forums too? I could ask him about what the **** he was doing

Yep. Xander and I still hold moderator ranks on the old forums. One night we decided to fuck around with them since nobody gives a shit anymore. Xander isn't a moderator anymore due to inactivity and hasn't been here in over a year.
