[1.3.2] Being into the Second Variation of 2-Level Office in the Entrance Zone Causes Lag

Whenever I enter and move around in the second variation of the 2-level office in the Entrance Zone, the game starts lagging significantly.

The lag stops as soon as I leave this area, whether I retrace my steps or move to another zone connected to this 2-level office room.

Returning to this instance of 2-level office or going to another one (should there be one) triggers the phenomenon again.

In my case this seems to be absolutely specific to this area. I have observed this form of heavy lag nowhere else, neither elsewhere in the Entrance Zone nor in the other areas of the facility.

Game configuration: 1600x900, fullscreen, use launcher, difficulty: safe, map seed: ut3w.

I was about to add that I had experienced the same lagging phenomenon when passing by and being into the server hub in the Entrance Zone, yet I just played for a little while and there was no lag in either places this time...

What puzzles me is that I had observed this form of lag several times before in those two places (2-level office and server hub), but this time it was perfectly fluid.

The only change in conditions I can think of is the fact that, when I loaded my game here, I was already in the Entrance Zone and very near those two rooms.

Maybe I should also add that SCP – Containment Breach eventually "overloads" when I play it: after some minutes of playing (I'd say 15-20), the textures begin to flicker or disappear and the game starts lagging in general.

(I took the habit of simply turning the game off then on again.)

In the 1.3.3 version of the game there will be some more options to increase the FPS amount, maybe this will prevent some lags and such. Sadly, the game for some reason overloads after some time. I guess it has something to do with either some of the events, the ambient sound and/or whatever else. Currently it is unknown what causes this error. Maybe I can take a look at the entire code at some time and see if I can fix some of these overloads, but I'm not sure if that will be possible for the 1.3.3 version.

It's good to know that others than me experienced that overloading problem too, although I guess it must stem from a complex group of structural causes... in other words, something that cannot possibly be easy to solve. :doubt:

I'm just back from playing a bit more and my game started lagging in another one of the Entrance Zone areas: the large office.

However, at first, there wasn't any lag neither there, nor near or in the server hub nor in the 2-level office either.

Yet the lag occurred in those three zones after playing for some time, so I'm pretty certain that those located instances of lag must be linked to the overloading problem: some variables probably overcharge as time goes by, and only then does navigating those rooms become problematic, it would seem.
