Re: Multiplayer mod - UNRELEASED

Okay, just a few quick questions.

1. Who is in charge of development? I noticed that ShadowZ vanished. I kinda just skipped past the 30 posts.

2. Who is assisting in development?

3. What is a list of things currently needed?

instead of only doing co-op, why not add in a little competitive play?
3 players play as SCPs. the rest are class D's.
1 player is SCP-173 :173:
1 player is SCP-106 :106:
1 player is SCP-096 :096:
SCP-173 can't move when being looked at by any player.
SCP-106 can noclip but is really slow. i highly recomend he just outright kills players in MP instead of sending them to the pocket dimension.
SCP-096 walks around until he is looked at. then after "charging up" for about 5 seconds, he runs and gains the ability to attack.
The goal is to survive for a preset amount of time.

YOU DONT SAY!

This does sound interesting though. Just a little detail and it'll be good. Though it'll take some more time for the modders to make this than just the standard co-op, implying they chose to implement this "Versus Mode"

Interesting... I actually had that idea once. I decided no because of how hard it would be to code it, even if I have more than one person doing it. And with Blitz3D's very limited capabilities, it might not be possible. I will give it a try though, see if it can work.

Yeah, I also had a similar idea a while back to turn that idea into a sourcemod. Basically 4 Players play as MTFs, with 4 scientists to rescue from the area during the containment breach. Another player plays as a single random SCP and is trying to kill everyone. Additional players that join will be Class-Ds. Every round, the roles are shuffled and a new SCP chosen. At this point, I'm thinking of running it on the Left 4 Dead 2 Engine, but that's impossible, or at least I think...

hopefully this get finished and ends well, my friends too afraid to play scp containment breach alone >.>.

One thing that always bugs me about horror games is the response to multiplayer. "NO MULTIPLAYER RUINS HORROR GAMES BLAH BLAH BLAH ITS TERRIBLE BLAH BLAH BLAH" well then don't play it? if you dont like multiplayer in horror games then just do single player, it's nice to have the option to do multiplayer with friends.

So, is the project still alive? or was it cancelled? because it's about one year ago that it started.
Do you think NASA invented thunderstorms to cover up the sound of space battles?
