Even after discussing this over and over I still get lots and lots of questions about 106's Containment Procedure.
I have 4 easy steps for you to follow:

1. Leave the Magnet ON
Don't turn the switch to off. Just leave it AS IT IS.
2. Turn on the Audio Transmission
3. Break the bastards femur
4. That's it. You'll see 106 appearing on camera and when the screen goes black you can turn off the Audio transmission and leave.
No, 106 will not follow you even if the music is still playing. It'll stop eventually.

If you do not mess up any of these 4 easy steps you'll be just fine.
Oh, and if you wish to re-release 106 turn the Magnets OFF and RUN!
106 will come after you RIGHT AWAY and approach you through the window. But even if you have a headstart it's difficult to get away from him in there.
Maybe get the Infinite Sprint Gas Mask.

what if you have to RE-contain SCP-106 or any reason whatsoever?

anyways, containing him and releasing him is a good way to check mark "contained 106" and still get the proper Gate A ending.

You can't exactly re-contain him... 106's containment hasn't been fully implemented yet.
ATM if you turn the magnets on after you release him, he will still keep chasing you.
He will not however, be able to use his cheap-ass teleport move to the tunnels/other places he spawns in.

Re-Containing him TWICE wouldn't work as the poor Class-D Bastard is already dead and 106 demands a sacrifi...uuh... lure object and TONS of screaming to attract him.
And no, the chances of 106 chasing you with the Magnets ON are a lot smaller than with the old way of doing it (which worked fine until 0.6 :( )
The good old way doesn't work out for me 85% of the time as seen on my screenshots on earlier pages within this thread.

Imagine the disaster if Regalis decided adding in a chance for SCP-106 to destroy the recontainment control panel. Maybe if you are lucky, he won't appear from behind as you wonder why the control panel was destroyed...

Actually I'd really like that idea. You see so very little of 106 since 0.6.XX it'd be a relief of somekind to see him appear on a more... regular... basis in game.
I'd happily crap my pants to see more of him.
