I know there will be other parts, but come on, they're going into the fourth season? Won't be seeing that shit for a while. When I first became a brony, I always had more and more and more to watch, but now, it's come to a halt. A halt which puts the joy out of my mind. For what I have experienced, it's making me severely impatient by just having that put to a halt.
Rewatching episodes isn't fun either, because I know nearly every episode (at least from the second season) in mind. I just have so much boredom to count on. It's not fair to just have had plenty to watch, and then having to stand in the line with all other bronies. It's just not fun. Although, I should get more into fanfics and fanart etc...
Now that the main character, which I've always loved, has come through such a change... everything will be so different. But I'd like to see how it comes out.
The long wait isn't really a fault of the series itself. In fact, it simply proves the integrity of the series that you simply can't wait for there to be more content. As you say further on though, the fan creations will suffice to last you through the long, long wait. If you're really itching for more pony stuff, I recommend reading the new IDW My Little Pony comics. They count as official products, but focus much more on the 'fandom' side of things. What I mean by that is they have a lot more in-jokes and references that bronies will get, and the storylines are immensely appealing (The return of Queen Chrysalis, one of my favourite characters).
Better still, the comics are not nearly as influenced by Hasbro meaning they can be as awesome and Derpylicious as they want without needing to conform to sell more toys. They might even bring in King Sombra and give him more backstory, which is what all the bronies want (I think he worked perfectly well as a mysterious force of evil and corruption, but I can see why some more background would be ideal).
Lastly, Twilight had SUPER ECKSBAWKS magic powers anyway, so the only real change with her becoming a Princess is that she can fly. It's not like Applejack becoming an alicorn (Which isn't a bad idea...).
